Unlike invasive weight loss surgery, ZERONA is applied externally. This revolutionary method provides results without the dangers associated with surgery, while at the same time allowing patients to remain active during treatment. The ZERONA protocol utilizes Erchonia’s® patented and clinically proven low level laser technology.
Treatment with Zerona laser is easy and painless. Each session takes 40 minutes. The laser is applied to the targeted area, which is generally a combination of the waist, hips and thighs for 20 minutes. The patient then turns over for an additional 20 minutes on the opposite side. The minimum suggested treatment period is two weeks, with three full sessions each week.
During the sessions you simply lay in a comfortable stationary position for 20 minutes on each side. While undergoing the Zerona treatment it is recommended that you increase your fiber and water intake to increase the speed of results, and do some type of low level cardio workout for 40 minutes daily during the treatment period. |

Independent clinical studies have shown i-Lipo to be, in some cases, comparable to results achieved by liposuction. Ultrasound imagery shows up to 30% reduction in the fat layer depth after just one treatment. Additional treatments improve results further. Results can be seen immediately after each treatment as the fat cell contents are released. Light exercise post treatment can accelerate the removal of the released fat.
The i-Lipo emits low levels of laser energy, which creates a chemical signal in the fat cells, breaking down the stored triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol and releasing them though channels in the cell membranes. The fatty acids and glycerol are then transported around the body to the tissues that will use them during metabolism to create energy. This process of fatty acid release is a natural response of the body when the body needs to used stored energy reserves, thus i-Lipo is not creating any unnatural reaction in the body nor does it affect or damage any surrounding structures such as skin, blood vessels and peripheral nerves. A period of exercise post treatment will ensure the complete metabolism and thus elimination from the body of the freed fatty acids. |
